Development Programs

The Development Office is responsible for a number of programs at the Saint Lawrence Education Center.  Families are encouraged to involve themselves in whatever programs best fit their interests and budgets. 

ANNUAL ADVANCEMENT CAMPAIGN 

The Annual Advancement Campaign (AAC) is an opportunity for supporters and members of the Saint Lawrence Education Center community to support our dream of providing quality Catholic education for all qualified applicants.  

For the 2011 - 2012 school year, the Academy AAC goal is $60,000.  We can meet this challenge only as a community. We ask each Academy family to consider making a $300 or more contribution per student to the Annual Advancement Campaign.  We realize that everyone may not be able to make the same gift in the same way.  We do believe each family can make a contribution that fits its circumstances and supports our mutual determination to maintain and improve the educational environment and program we have created here.  To that end, we ask that every family contribution.  Our goal is 100% participation.

You can make your gift by cash, check, or credit card.  Please make cash donations in person, make checks payable to Saint Lawrence Academy, or you can make an online gift using our Online Giving Transaction Portal.  Also, you can use the AAC envelope which you receive at the beginning of the year.

 LUCK OF ST. LAWRENCE LOTTERY 

The Luck of St. Lawrence Lottery is a raffle which runs under the guidelines outlined by the Diocese of San Jose and the State of California.  The Weekly Winnings raffle runs annually between July 1 and June 29 of the following year with drawings beginning in August.  Raffle tickets are sold at $10 per ticket in booklets of 15 tickets each.  We encourage each family in the Parish and Education Center to sell a minimum of 15 tickets ($150).

Oct. 7, 2011 - $100 drawing
Oct. 22, 2011 - $500 drawing
Nov. 4, 2011 - $100 drawing
Nov. 18, 2011 - $500 drawing
Dec. 9, 2011 - $1,000 drawing
Jan. 13, 2012 - $100 drawing
Jan. 27, 2012 - $1,000 drawing
Feb. 3, 2012 - $100 drawing
Feb. 17, 2012 - $100 drawing
Mar, 2, 2012 - $100 drawing
Mar. 16, 2012 - $500 drawing
Mar. 30 - $100 drawing
Apr. 13, 2012 - $500 drawing
Apr. 27, 2012 - $100 drawing
May 18, 2012 - $100 drawing
May 31, 2012 - $1,000 drawing

 Each year, a calendar will be established with raffle dates for that year.  Winners will be notified by the Development Office.  Once notified, the winning ticket is re-entered into the raffle again for the next drawing.  You could literally win every week during the year.

ANNUAL DINNER/AUCTION 

Every February, the Development Office sponsors the Annual Auction.  A themed evening of food, friendship, and fundraising becomes a highlight of each year.  In the transformed Community Center, guests are transported to an island paradise, a casino, a hoedown, or another themed location.  The event is the major development fundraising event and the proceeds are used for major projects such as the one-to-one laptop initiative and capital improvements.  Donations of time and talent are credited to the Parent Club service requirement while donations of treasure,  monetary or actual items are credited to the AAC.

The 2011 Auction, "Valentine's in Vegas", featured casino games, a silent auction, raffle baskets, and a live auction.  Guests enjoyed hearty hors' duerves , beverages of choice, and a multitude of auction items from which to choose.
