Saint Lawrence Academy relies on its parent community to support its fundraisers and to provide volunteer service at its events.
All families are required to provide ten hours of parent service during the course of the school year. There are a variety of ways in which parents can complete these hours - provide transportation to athletic events, work at the Auction or Comedy Club, service as a committee chair, donate food or drink to events and more.
One of the areas where parent involvement is critical is membership on some of our Academy and Education Center committees. If you have an interest and/or talent which might be especially beneficial to one of our groups, we welcome you to join us. Your volunteer time will count towards your parent service hours.
Parent Club
There are a number of Parent Club events which need co-chairs. Chairs are needed for both social and fundraising events throughout the year. These co-chair positions have varied time commitments. Some areas of need are:
- See's candy sale
- Poinsettia sale
- Back-to-School Barbecue
- Teacher Appreciation Luncheons
- Comedy Club
- ewaste Day
Development Office
The Development Office needs committed parents to support its two major fundraisers: Annual Auction and the Annual Advancement Campaign. Committee positions are available in the following areas:
- Publicity
- Phone-a-thon
- Gift Solicitation
- Volunteer Coordinator
- Silent Auction Coordinator
- Live Auction Coordinator
- Hospitality
- and more
Finance Council
The Finance Council, representing both the schools and parish, acts as an advisory board to the Pastor and the two principals. The Council meets monthly to review the financial status of the schools and parish. In addition, the Council helps with the preparation of the yearly budgets for all three entities.
Education Council
The Education Council, representing both the Academy and Elementary and Middle Schools, acts as an advisory board to the two principals. The Council meets monthly to advise the principals on matters affecting the schools. Sub-committees of the Education Council are:

- Strategic Planning
- Marketing and Public Relations
- Technology
- Public Policy
- Facilities
- Safety
For the Arts
For the Arts is a parent organization that supports the Performing Arts program of Saint Lawrence Academy. For the Arts' main task is to support the spring musical. The For the Arts group supports the musical through set construction, adult supervision, costume and make up advice, donations, and more.
