Members of the Saint Lawrence Academy community are asked to make three commitments to the school:

Participation in our Scrip Program

Families are asked to purchase $4,000 in scrip over the course of a year.  Families can participate in this area by purchasing paper scrip, participating in escrip, or participating in one of a variety of other options.  More information about this area can be found under the Support Tab.  If a family does not wish to purchase scrip, they can make a $100 donation to the school to cover this commitment. 

Fundraising

Families are asked to participate in school or Education Center fundraisers.  We ask each family to raise $150 per student profit from sale not to exceed $300 per family.  Over the course of the year there are a number of fundraisers in which families can participate - Magazine drive, See's candy sales, poinsettia sales, Dine Out Nights and more.  If a family does not wish to participate in fundraisers, they can make a $150 contribution to the school if they have one student or a $300 contribution to the school if they have more than one student.

Parent Service Hours

Each family is asked to give ten hours of parent volunteer service per year.  There are a variety of ways in which families can earn these hours:  serve on a school committee, volunteer at a school fundraiser, drive students to or from athletic events, participate in Restoration Days, work with the Development Office and more.  Opportunities are emailed home to parents on a regular basis.  If a family makes a contribution of food or drink for an event, they can give themselves one hour of volunteer credit for each $10 spent.  If a family is unable to fulfill their parent volunteer service hours, they are asked to make a contribution of $20 per hour not completed.
