Saint Lawrence Academy offers a wide variety of clubs for its student body. Clubs offer a venue for students to become involved in endeavors which match their interests or talents. Through participation in these clubs, students have opportunities to learn leadership skills, meet new people, and participate in a variety of social events.
Students have the opportunity each year to propose new clubs. Students can develop a club concept, recruit a faculty moderator, enlist student participants, and present a formal proposal to the Director of Student Activities and the Student Council. If approved, the club will make its debut the next school year.
The current list of clubs at Saint Lawrence Academy is as follows:
Ambassador Club
Ambassadors is a service organization comprised of sophomore, junior and senior students who are chosen to represent Saint Lawrence Academy at school activities such as Open House, Welcome Brunch, and middle school visits. Ambassadors also serve as shadow greeters and help the Admission Office during the application process by acting as hosts during student interviews. Ambassadors are selected at the end of each school year to serve the following year.
Freshmen and sophomore students are encouraged to serve as shadow hosts to eighth grade students who spend the morning visiting campus. Shadow hosts must maintain good grades and a clean discipline record. They can receive service hours for their participation as hosts.
