Saint Lawrence Academy students are exposed to a world of possibilities in the academic arena. While Saint Lawrence Academy offers a traditional college-preparatory curriculum, it also allows students to pursue their own educational path through a breadth of course offerings.
While 99% of Saint Lawrence Academy students will attend college upon graduation, not all students follow the same path to reach that goal. Saint Lawrence Academy believes in meeting the individual needs of all students so that each student can reach his/her true potential.
The curriculum is designed to challenge each student to think critically, to write and speak logically and intelligently, to apply classroom skills to real-life situations, and to apply technology in an ethical and informed manner. Students have the opportunity to challenge themselves with Honors and Advanced Placement courses or to build their skills through our Individual Curriculum Program.
Saint Lawrence Academy students are guided by educated and caring faculty members who see their mission as to not only teach a subject area but to teach the whole person - academically, socially, spiritually and emotionally. The faculty's dedication to Saint Lawrence Academy and its students translates to multiple opportunities for student-teacher interaction, whether it is tutoring hours, moderating a club, serving as a class mentor, or attending a school extracurricular function. The bonds established between faculty and students lasts long after the graduation ceremony ends.
To ensure that student academic success both in and out of the classroom, there are a number of academic support services in place for students - teacher office hours, academic counselors, Academic Services liaison, peer tutors and more. Working as a team with parents, students are given the tools to be 21st century learners, tools which they will take with them to college and the work force.
