Mentoring

The Saint Lawrence Academy Mentoring Program is entering its ninth year.  The program assigns each faculty member a group of approximately twelve students with whom they meet bi-weekly.

Mentoring provides students with a place to voice their opinions and concerns; it also allows the mentoring staff member to receive student input outside of a classroom setting.  The mentoring groups create a community in which to discuss and plan class business.  In addition to class business, faculty members help students monitor grades, achieve goals, find college information and scholarships, assist with tutoring and study skills and serve as a resource for both students and parents.  The Mentoring Program allows for students to get whatever individual attention the y need to attain success.
